2.16.2012 - Linsanity, Mission Linpossible, Super Lintendo
Ok Im going to hop on the blog train on Jeremy Lin of the New York Knicks from a christian perspective.
I’ve been praying for this guy even if I dont know him. He has the whole world watching him play for his skills on the court but flys the banner for Christ the whole time he does it. Its really respectable and something to be admired when I see guys like Lin and Tebow repping God in front of the world when I find myself scared sometimes to admit I’m a christian. Notice him putting glasses on and reading the Bible and pointing to God at the beginning of the video lol.
On top of that he remains humble and respectful and doesnt throw the Christian thing in peoples faces but just the fact that he has a different personality and attitude are the fruits of the spirit making evident that he’s a christian.
Now I hope I’m not making him out to be a super Christian because I can only imagine the kind of stress and pressure on athletes like him and how it can change people. It also seems like people who interview him are asking questions in a way to build up an ego “so what did you do to bring your team the win tonight?” thats why my PR is..
PR
that Lin & Tebow & other christian athletes will always remember the God in control of everything. as a matter of fact, same prayer for everyone including me
QOTD
The Bible says people will hate you because of me (Jesus), so what do you make of people loving Lin even though he is a Christian? Is that popularity dangerous?
